Welcome to Signed By Ariel LLC ("we," "our," "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our Remote Online Notarization ("RON") services and website.
By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
We provide notarial services as a commissioned Notary Public and Certified Signing Agent authorized by the State of Texas.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid, unexpired U.S. government-issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or U.S. Passport) to use our services.
2. Services Provided
We offer Remote Online Notarization services in accordance with Texas law and administrative rules.
Our services include:
Identity verification
Witnessing of signatures
Electronic notarization of uploaded documents
Loan signing services when applicable
Important notes:
We do not provide legal advice, legal document drafting, or interpretation of document content.
We strictly adhere to the authorized duties of a Texas Notary Public and Signing Agent.
All documents must be intended for use within the United States. We do not notarize documents intended solely for international use.
3. Document Requirements
Documents must be uploaded in full, not just the signature page.
Documents must be completed but unsigned unless otherwise directed.
We are not responsible for reviewing or verifying document contents for legal sufficiency or enforceability.
4. Identification Verification
You must pass:
Credential Analysis (electronic ID scan)
Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) (answering personal questions correctly)
Both steps are mandatory for notarization.
Failure to complete either will result in termination of the session without notarization and without refund.
5. Audio-Video Recording Consent
In accordance with Texas Government Code §406.108, your notarization session will be recorded via secure audio-video technology and retained for at least 5 years.
By proceeding with your session, you consent to:
Being recorded.
Receiving your completed notarized document via secure email.
Authorizing optional delivery to third-party recipients (e.g., a law firm) if expressly consented to during the live session recording.
6. Document Delivery
Upon successful completion:
One (1) copy of the notarized document will be delivered via secure email to you at no additional charge.
Any other form of delivery (such as physical mailing, courier delivery, or delivery to additional third parties) may incur additional fees, which will be disclosed in advance and invoiced separately.
No delivery to third parties will occur without express recorded consent.
7. Payment Terms
Payment must be completed before the notarization session begins.
Payments are securely processed through Square.
We do not store full payment card details.
Pricing Schedule:
$25 for the first notarized seal
$10 for each additional notarized seal
$15 per witness provided by Signed By Ariel LLC, if needed
Basic email delivery of your notarized document is included
Additional delivery requests (mail, courier, extra copies) are subject to additional fees.
Important Payment Notes:
All fees are non-refundable once services have begun.
All fees are non-transferable between appointments or clients.
Witness availability is not guaranteed and is subject to scheduling.
8. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
You may cancel or reschedule your session at least 2 hours before the appointment time without penalty.
Cancellations within 2 hours may incur a $10 cancellation fee.
No-shows (failure to attend) require rebooking and full repayment.
9. Technology Requirements
To participate, you must have:
A stable, reliable internet connection
A device with a working webcam, microphone, and speakers
An updated browser and current device operating system
Failure to meet these requirements may prevent successful notarization and may require rescheduling.
10. Privacy and Data Security
We protect your personal and document information using:
SSL encryption
Secure storage and restricted access
Reputable partners: Proof.com for notarization, Square for payments, and Squarespace for web hosting

11. Marketing Communications
By using our services, you consent to receive:
Appointment confirmations and service-related messages
Occasional marketing communications (opt-out available at any time)
12. Legal Compliance
We comply fully with Texas Remote Online Notarization laws regarding:
Identity verification
Recordkeeping
U.S.-only document use
Secure session recording and storage
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our maximum liability is limited to the total amount you paid for the notarization services.
14. Intellectual Property
All website content, logos, service names, and materials are the property of Signed By Ariel LLC.
Unauthorized copying or distribution is prohibited.
15. Updates to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.
Changes will be posted at signedbyariel.com with a revised "Effective Date."
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
16. Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third-party platforms, including Proof.com, Square, and Squarespace.
You are encouraged to review their respective Terms and Privacy Policies.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the State of Texas.
All disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Dallas County, Texas.

19. Signer Responsibilities
By booking and attending a session, you agree to:
Upload your complete document package (not only signature pages)
Present a valid, unexpired U.S. ID
Appear on camera in sufficient lighting
Join on time with functional internet and technology
Pass Credential Analysis and Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) screening
Sign electronically via the Proof.com/Notarize.com platform
You acknowledge that notarization is contingent upon successful ID verification and KBA passing.
20. Identity Verification and Session Refusal
We reserve the right to terminate the session without notarization if:
ID cannot be verified
KBA questions are failed
Suspicious, altered, or invalid IDs are presented
Technology prevents proper identification
No refund will be issued if identity verification fails.
21. Refund Policy
Refunds are granted solely at the discretion of Signed By Ariel LLC.
No refunds are issued for no-shows, session abandonment, or failed verification.
22. Rescheduling Policy
One courtesy rescheduling may be offered for verified technical difficulties.
Repeated technical issues or missed appointments may require rebooking with full payment.
23. Electronic Records and Delivery
Your notarized document will be delivered electronically (PDF).
Electronically notarized documents are legally binding under Texas law.
Physical paper copies are not provided unless separately arranged.
24. Session Abandonment
If you leave, disconnect, refuse to proceed, or are uncooperative, the session will be considered complete without notarization.
No refund will be issued.
25. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
Acts of God
Natural disasters
Internet service disruptions
Severe weather
Government regulations
Other unforeseeable events beyond our control
