Session Recording and Data Protection
-
Is my personal information safe with Signed By Ariel LLC?
Absolutely. We protect your data with SSL encryption and secure platforms. Your notarization session recordings and documents are stored safely and never shared without your consent.
Identity Verification and KBA Questions
-
How is my identity verified during online notarization?
Your identity is verified through a two-step process:
First, you’ll upload your valid U.S. ID for credential analysis.
Then, you’ll answer several Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) questions based on your personal history. -
What are KBA questions?
KBA stands for Knowledge-Based Authentication.
You’ll be asked multiple-choice questions generated from public records (for example: previous addresses, vehicle ownership, loan history). You must answer most questions correctly to proceed with notarization. -
What happens if I fail the KBA questions?
You usually get two attempts to pass KBA. If you fail both attempts, we cannot proceed with notarization and you’ll need to reschedule. A new appointment and payment may be required.
-
What happens if my ID is expired or cannot be verified?
Unfortunately, we cannot proceed if your ID is expired or fails credential analysis. Please ensure you have a current, valid ID before booking your appointment.
-
Can I verify my identity without a Social Security Number?
Most KBA question sets are generated using public records tied to your Social Security Number. If you don’t have one or cannot be matched to sufficient public data, you may not be able to complete KBA verification. Please contact us before booking if you have concerns.
